Meet Our Team

Executive Chef - Evan Ellington

Chef Evan began his culinary career working under Vishwesh Bhatt at the James Beard Award-winning restaurant Snackbar in Oxford, MS and later moved to Nashville, TN to continue his training under Chef Dan Herget while helping open Otaku Ramen and Little Octopus. Evan returned to West Tennessee in 2016 to open Eader House, offering high-end catering and private chef services, and now resides in Medina with his wife, Rachel, and two sons, Hunt and Dock. Chef Evan brings years of culinary expertise to Jackson, TN and has meticulously curated every aspect of Central Creek to create an unforgettable and elevated guest experience.

Chef de Cuisine - Zach Lee

With a passion for refined cuisine, Chef Zach Lee brings an expectation of excellence to the kitchen at Central Creek. Known for his creative approach and dedication to locally sourced ingredients, Zach assists in crafting seasonal menus. His attention to detail ensures an exceptional fine dining experience for all guests.

Pitmaster - Matt McBride

A native of Brownsville, TN, Matt’s passion for barbecue began at an early age, learning the craft from generations of family pitmasters before him. As pitmaster at Central Creek, Matt sources the finest cuts of meat and continues to push the boundaries to prove that smoke and fire have a place in fine dining. Matt resides in Jackson, TN with his wife, Kayla, and his son, William.

Bar Manager - Rachel Wharton

Rachel has a passion for mixology and hospitality which she brings to the beverage program at Central Creek. By blending classic and modern techniques with innovative flavors, her expertise ensures every guest enjoys a flawlessly crafted cocktail or perfectly paired glass of wine to create an elevated dining experience.

Kayla McBride

Kayla is the General Manager of 7 Oaks Hospitality, parent company of Central Creek and Estanaula Barbecue Company. With years of experience in the hospitality industry, Kayla brings a passion for exceptional service and a goal to ensure every guest experience reflects high standards and warm hospitality. Kayla’s hospitality experience includes front-of-house serving and management in restaurants and bars in Jackson, TN; Chicago, IL; and Dublin, Ireland. She now resides in Jackson, TN with her husband, Matt, and their son, William.
